S/SA Bylaws Membership Criteria
Combat: All officers and enlisted men of the Armed Forces of the United States of America or her allies who did hold the MOS of 8541 while in a combat zone or  who were assigned to any USMC Scout/Sniper Platoon, USMC Recon/Sniper Platoon, or held a Sniper Billet, Regular or Reserve while serving in a combat zone.

Active Duty Application Fee:  $10
Active Duty Annual Dues:  $0 while active duty

Reserve/Discharged Retired:  $20 (includes application fee and dues for calendar year)
Regular: All officers and enlisted men of the Armed Forces of the United States of America or her allies who do now or did hold the MOS of 8541 OR are now serving, or who were assigned to any USMC Scout/Sniper Platoon, USMC Recon/Sniper Platoon, or held a Sniper Billet, Regular or Reserve for at least one year.

Active Duty Application Fee:  $10
Active Duty Annual Dues:  $0 while active duty

Reserve/Discharged Retired:  $20 (includes application fee and dues for calendar year)
Roll of Honor All officers and enlisted men of the Armed Forces of the United States of America or her allies who did hold the MOS of 8541 OR  who were assigned to any USMC Scout/Sniper Platoon, or held a Sniper Billet, Regular or Reserve and were killed in action or died in the line of duty.
Associate Temporarily Closed.  Civilians and veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces and allies who were not assigned to a Scout/Sniper Platoon, but who made a significant development in or advancement to operational procedures or techniques inherent to STA Platoons or who made a valuable and unique contribution to a Scout/Sniper Platoon or to the Scout/Sniper Association.
Auxiliary Temporarily Closed.  Spouses of regular, charter, and associate members, and widows and widowers of any deceased individual who would, if living, be eligible for Regular, Charter, or Associate membership.
Corporate Sponsor United States owned corporations which support the purposes of the Association may be granted a sponsorship.
